Just blogging away! |
Today is my first day hanging out with the IIAK girls! Peggyand Tara were super nice to invite me on their trip down Interstate 75. We had
fun talking about what we were going to do over the holiday weekend. It was a
little weird, I rode on the dashboard instead of in the back seat… but it was
fun to live on the wild side. We got some funny looks from the cars that we
passed, but we didn't pay any attention to them.
It was a beautiful day in Eastern Kentucky. We started in
Barbourville hanging out with a potential member and talking about the many
benefits of IIAK. They asked a lot of great questions about market access,
health benefits and Project CAP. I am crossing my hooves that they see how
valuable being a member really is.
Our next stop was to long-time member Insurance ServiceCenter in Corbin. We chatted with Joyce and let her know that we were here if
she needed anything. We gave her one of our handy dandy membership benefits handouts and gave her some goodies and were on our way.
While we were in Corbin, we moseyed down to Wyatt Insurance
Agency, Inc. They were repaving Main Street so we sat in a traffic jam for a
bit. It was so fun to meet Donna and Daniel. Their health benefits renewal was
approaching and they are waiting to receive a quote from Joy in our office.
**Joy handles our Anthem Large Group Health Plan. If you would like information
feel free to send her an email!** With the new health care reform policies
coming into effect, all agencies will renew on July 1, instead of the rolling
renewals that we are accustomed to. We also thanked them for signing up to
participate in Project CAP. It will be so exciting for consumers to search
online and get quotes from Independent Agents through Trusted Choice.**Talk to
Arlene in our office to sign up today for FREE!** Wyatt Insurance was so nice
to welcome us with their southern hospitality.
Our final stop for the day was in Mt. Vernon and hung out
with the fine folks of Singleton & Associates, Inc. They were located right
on Main Street. We chatted with Tara Boone and Brittany Adams and talked about summer vacations and family… and most
importantly how IIAK was here for them for all of their association needs. We
also met Bryan Clontz who is a student at EKU in the Risk Management and Insurance Studies program! He is working at Singleton for the
summer and has 6 hours left until he graduates. We talked to him about getting
involved with our Young Agents and learning more about the industry through his
peers. We are so appreciative of long-time members like Singleton and it is so
nice to put faces to the name. (And you can too!)

Can’t wait for our next trip across the Commonwealth!
See Y’all Soon,
